Flip Flops and Jeans on guys?

My boyfriend and I have disagreed on something in fashion. He says that people think it is stupid when guys wear flip flops with jeans and i say it is not, i think it cute. We made a bet. If the majority of people think that it looks bad, I can%26#039;t wear flip flops for a month (I wear them everyday) and if more people say it is alright, he has to wear flip flops with jeans everyday for a month. What do you think?

Reply:I live in San Diego and I see this all the time. It is not at all considered gay here, probably because the weather is so good that it sort of makes sense. However, personally I think it looks pretty bad, and would prefer to talk with and be friends with a guy who wears actual shoes than one who has is gross feet out like that (guys don%26#039;t exactly enjoy looking at other guys feet).

Reply:I cant beleive your question! I was JUST telling my wife that it is indeed VERY GAY for a guy to wear flip-flops with jeans, but not for a girl. I think feminine guys do this kind of thing. Some girls have always been attrcted to GIRLY MEN. Ill never get it.

Reply:It really depends on the country you live in as opinions vary from culture to culture. In Spain for example, it is increasing in popularity where guys wear flip flops with jeans. So do girls too. Flip flops offer function (cool off the temperature of the feet and avoid them being sweaty) and comfort. Its only recently that they have become %26quot;fashion%26quot;.





According to many peoples opinions based in the US, many people see it as unsightly or even gay, some see it acceptable, even if they do wear flipflops with shorts which is perfectly natural to see where I live because of the hot weather.





In my opinion, if a guy has nice kept feet, then it would be acceptable to wear flip flops with or without jeans. If their feet are unkept, then get prepared to be criticized by the public.





Personally, I wear them all year round and I wear them with jeans or without jeans where I live and have never heard nothing bad coming from other guys or girls.
