Question about reef flip flops sandals size.?

I currently own a pair of mens reef smoothy flip flops and want to order another pair but I don%26#039;t know what the right size is. The length of the flip flop when measured out is eleven inches. My guess is a size 10 but I%26#039;m not sure. Does anyone who has a pair know? Here is a link with a picture of the flip flop I%26#039;m talking about so there is no confusion.

Will flip flops do while site seeing in egypt?

been recomended trainers/sneekers but wouldn%26#039;t feet get hot and sweaty? flip flops seem ideal for the heat

flip flops = flat sandels..slippers

Will flip flops do while site seeing in egypt?
You will sometimes be walking on hard, uneven surfaces and would find flipflops uncomfortable. Remember, your feet also could get sunburned if you leave them uncovered. If you wish to wear sandals get something like Tevas or get something else with heavy soles but lots of coverage of the foot. I also do not see any problem with shoes and socks. It will keep your feet clean, from getting scratched by scratchy plants found on some archaeological sites, and prevent them from getting sunburned. Egypt is not so humid so you don%26#039;t have to worry about your feet getting sweaty and hot.
Reply:Flip Flops? Are you joking?

First of all, flip flops were never meant for heavy-duty walking. They were originally designed just for walking around the pool. If you walk long distances in them, your feet are really going to take a pounding!

Oakley has the best sandals in the world. They are like walking on a rubber mattress. But remember, all sandals leave your feet open to the dirty conditions, flies, etc.

Hence, my recommendation is to get some nice MESH sports shoes. I have ones by Merrell and Adidas. It%26#039;s amazing how much cooler your feet are. You can just wear some ultra light low rise socks (peds), or no socks at all. Remember, you may be climbing around a lot, and flip flops are an invitation to stumbling and breaking your neck.
Reply:Depends where. I would not recommend them for walking in the streets, ur toes will get cut and scratched badly, but on beaches and in resorts, etc, and some site seeing places, where the ground is relatively flat. Also in the new clean places like DreamLand, etc....

For tourist places, i would recommend shoes like Vans, or any other slip ons.
Reply:Not for long errands, actually your toes will be swollen by Lunch time!. i took some comfortable flat sandals with me (the one that had elastic stripes) they really helped.

And like the answerer above said, wear them where you don%26#039;t need to walk for a long time like the swimming pool, a nearby restaurant, etc...

Enjoy.....
Reply:wear flip flops while you are in the hotel , around the pool , etc.

but wear sneekers /walking shoes while you are sighseeing .

the monuments are surrounded by sand , and you will have to do some walking .
Reply:I would take sandels, flip flops if walking about may be bad,its sandy, and stony in most parts,I found sandels ok,but trainers id def take them with you.
Reply:I don%26#039;t think I would like wading through the camel and donkey dung in flip flops. Things aren%26#039;t very neat or tidy there.

Inexspensive flip-flops?

Does anyone know a store besides Old Navy that sells inexspensive flip-flops? I already have two pairs of flip-flops from Old Navy and I want to get some different styles and brands that are around the same price. ($ 2.00-5.00.)

Inexspensive flip-flops?
Well Walgreens but even they cost 9.99. I am a guy who likes sandals so much that I set money aside especially for that...to have a good quality pair.
Reply:Payless.. buy one get one Half off ..sometimes Free.
Reply:A lot of art stores sell some plain flip flops that are actually really cool.
Reply:Walmart and Walgreen%26#039;s
Reply:Walmart. They range for 98 cents to $4.

That%26#039;s where i get all mine %26amp; they are super cute.
Reply:Try Dollar Tree, Dollar General or Rugged Warehouse, all have cute, cheap flip-flops.
Reply:wal-mart or zellers
Reply:Payless Shoe Source

WalMart

American Eagle Aerie has some for $5.50

Target
Reply:Family dollar, dollar general, dollar tree, biglots
Reply:maybe payless or walmart or target or somethings department stores have sales and sell flip flops really cheap!
Reply:yeah go to any dollar store around you. they should sell them for a dollar or less
Reply:They aren%26#039;t really THAT cheap? But Havianas are the most comfortable EVER - try Urban Outfitters. They%26#039;re having a sale (but it might be over) 25% if you buy two pair and I think it was only $20 for two anyway.

Are 1.99 flip flops sexier than 200 dollar shoes ?

To me nothing looks sexier in the proper casual context than a womyn in realy cheap flip flops with an awesome pedicure .

How many womyn are aware of this ? I know you buy shoes for yourself and to impress other womyn .

IIf you want to look sexy for a guy tho nothing screams sexier than the bikini for the feet we call flip flops .

I know you cannot wear them to all social occasions but when you can it realy does get some of our motors running so to speak .

Just hope that if you were not aware of this now you are .

So in your opinion ladys which is sexier the 1.99 flip flop or the 200dollar pair of shoes ?

Are 1.99 flip flops sexier than 200 dollar shoes ?
It all depends on the feet in the flip flops. I have recently noticed (now that it is summer) that several of my friends have REALLY ugly feet! And should not wear flip flops.
Reply:I dunno ive seen men go yaya for my copper Tstrap stillettos..

I live in flip flops. I live in fancy 5 dollar ones though ...... I think women who are comfortable are sexy be it in good shoes or bad shoes.

bikini for the feet...... so cute! I will were my flip flops with so much more zeal now! I think you have a bit of a fetish my man ! thats okay I LOVE men in dark blue jeans that arent tight but arent baggy - just right with an untucked shirt ......
Reply:when that someone comes to call, remember underneath it all, gentlemen prefer skin.

why spend 1.99? Can you say barefoot?
Reply:I don%26#039;t wear flip flops, or fancy shoes to impress other women, or to be sexy for men.

I wear what I like.
Reply:You can put a pair of $200 shoes on a gorilla, and it is still a gorilla. Of course, if you wear $1.99 flip flops with a Dior evening gown, you%26#039;d look pretty silly too...
Reply:The simple fact is, if you have ugly feet, $200 closed shoes (or even $20 closed shoes) will look MUCH better than flip flops at any price.
Reply:I dig the payless heels, lots of funky styles and colors for reasonable price.

Though I do live in 2.99 flip-flops from wal-mart on most days LOL
Reply:Only $200.00? You can%26#039;t get a pair of Italian shoes for a ********* $200.00, lol!

Son, it%26#039;s a whole different ballgame. You stick with your disposable Payless plastic, made in China flipflops ...if you can afford them, nothing on the planet is more exquisite than Italian shoes. I once went to Italy for the express purpose of buying shoes. I shouldn%26#039;t have been surprised, but I saw people from every corner of the globe feverishly combing the shoe departments at department stores and shoe stores. It was dizzying. A whirlwind of activity. Shoe shopping as a competitive sport, lol!
Reply:Are you from Australia? Since I have arrived in this country I have nightmares about flip flops! I see people in suits, wearing flip flops! Simply ridiculous! Personaly, I hate them. They just turn me off, whether worn by a man or a woman.
Reply:Flip flops! Flip flops!
Reply:I would NEVER buy 200 dollar shoes.. But I dont like cheap flip flops either, they tear apart too easily. But honestly I could care less if other people like it, it only matters if I like it. Not other women, not men.

I also prefer closed shoes. I hate the way my feet look, so no flip flops.
Reply:Yes, my husband has explained this to me. That he thinks I am sexy in a t-shirt and jeans with minimal make up. However I think womEn dress up more for other women than men. I really don%26#039;t care if you like my shoes, but if my friend likes them, its a great compliment.

AE flip flops?

Last time I got flip flops they really hurt my feet for about the first week. And then they stopped and became really really comfortable. I think it was because the leather broke in or something. And the other day I got new flip flops and they ALSO have been hurting my feet. Will this go away? Is this supposed to happen?

AE flip flops?
Flip flops are going outta style even for teenage wannabes and frumpy middle age soccermoms. Get yourself some

Reply:your feet just need to get used to the filp-flop. it%26#039;ll be fine after you wear it more.
Reply:Any type of shoes, especially leather ones, hurt until you break them in.

If she is a size 6, then you should get her a size 6. and you should go to payless because they have cute ones there that are for a good price. Reply:Well, why not get a pair of shoes in size 6 (NOT FLIP-FLOPS) and measure it against the flip-flops to see what size would be best. Or try the flip-flops on yourself. Say your a size 7 and the 6 fits you, you get her the size 5. Last you can always go a size bigger because feet always grow.

old navy and wetseal have such cute cute cute printed flip-flops! like cool summer patterns, like colorfuul stripes, polka dots, cherries, you know.

Should I wear flip flops?

I%26#039;m going on a field trip with my grade to Hershey Park this week. I%26#039;m thinking about wearing flip flops. My teacher says she doesnt recommend it, but I see girls at carnivals and amusement parks with flip flops all the time? Should I wear flip flops to Hershey Park and like bring extra shoes in case of bad weather or something?

Should I wear flip flops?
No dont try the flip flops. If they fall off during a ride your teacher wont let you go back and look for them. Even taking another pair of shoes is too much to carry around.

Hope this Helped!!
Reply:Mmm, that wouldn%26#039;t be a good idea. Flip flops may sound like a good idea, but once you get out there and start walking around, you%26#039;ll wish you had some regular shoes. Plus if you want to run around, play certain games, or ride certain rides you won%26#039;t have to worry about your shoes slipping off and slowing you down. You get blisters very easily too when you walk around all day in them. Girls who wear flip flops to amusement parks are nuts. Regular shoes are the best to wear.
Reply:In crowds you may get your toes stepped on, and that can hurt or even leave you with minor injury that can put a crimp in your day.

Wear whatever kind of shoes you would wear to walk or run.
Reply:no, you need to wear sneakers - flip flops are easy to lose on rides (and you often can%26#039;t get them back), they don%26#039;t offer any support (you%26#039;re going to be on your feet all day), and they can tear easily.

besides, your feet will probably get dirty and that%26#039;s not a good look!

;o)
Reply:if it is wear you ride rides then no wear shoes but if it is just walking around then yeah go ahead wear flip flops
Reply:I think you would be more comfortable in shoes in a park but its up 2 you!!
Reply:It%26#039;s never a good idea to wear flip flops at an amusement park because of two reasons:

a) Those horrible blisters between your toes. Those are the most painful thing ever. If you are going to an amusement park, chances are you are going to be doing a lot of walking.

b) They will probably fly off on a ride.

Usually when you see other girls at carnivals and amusement parks with flip flops they either have never been to one before, or they aren%26#039;t planning on going on any major rides.

If you do wear flip flops, I would bring an extra pair of shoes just in case. Also, don%26#039;t wear your favorite flip flops in case they do fly off.

I hope this helps!

Ryan
Reply:I don%26#039;t think you should. Trust me last year I went to Cedar Point with flip-flops on and my feet and legs got so sore just by 8:00. I mean yes there easy to walk in and comfortable at first, but just to warn you, you will get blisters and you feet will be very sore by the end of the day.
Reply:u can wear them if you want your feet to get dirty and have them fall off rides, but i dont recommend it
Reply:no because when you go on upside down rides your

flipflops might fall off into a river or lake!
Reply:take ur teachers advice, wear sneakers. you can save the flip flops for a day at the beach. you wont regret it.

i m jealous...have fun at hershey park!!!!!

White flip flops??

which do you like better: white abercrombie flip flops or white hollister flip flops?????

White flip flops??
I usually buy from Abercrombie, so I would go with them. If they%26#039;re on sale or clearance get them, if not wait till next spring, it%26#039;s too cold now!
Reply:i don%26#039;t know...abercrombie is so expensive, even on filp flops so i tend to go to hollister more, but they aren%26#039;t exactly moderatly priced either, and when your married with 3 little kids and in school you can afford to splurge on flip flops. i guess i would need to see what they look like to give a better answer, but i can%26#039;t see spending much on flip flops, i would try old navy, or target, or aeropostale first, and if i couldn%26#039;t find what i needed then i might go to the higher place. good luck.
Reply:i really like white hollister flip flops

they are so cute

Reply:does it matter? its going to be winter soon. its cold outside. but if i had to choose i wouldn%26#039;t get either white ones get dirty so fast. Plus, both stores are owned by the same company so they are like identical( except the symbol.)

Why is there a conspiracy against flip flops?

At my corporate job we used to be able to wear flip flops. Then someone made the distinction between flip flops and dress sandals, %26quot;a shoe that splits the toe.%26quot; really? Cause it%26#039;s sort of hard to find a sandal that doesn%26#039;t split the toe.

Then there are articles relating to flip flops being damaging to your career because they make you look like you are on vacation.

Then I read opinions on some girls that met with the president and wore flip flops and how terrible that is.

When did flip flops become the Anti Christ? I think sneakers are way worse, but they are socially accepted.

Why is there a conspiracy against flip flops?
I live in flip flops, sometimes even in the winter! I think i have every color from Old Navy. I have a lot of dressy sandals that split the toes, but don%26#039;t consider them flip flops.

I too didn%26#039;t see the big deal about meeting the president in flip flops; that%26#039;s what is so great about living in a %26quot;free%26quot; country. It just showed she was confident in her decisions.
Reply:To me a flip flop is a casual sandal that splits the toe. There are some dress sandals that split the toe that I would never consider a flip flop. There all different types of sandals out there dress casual, dress, casual, and very casual. It all depends on the thinking of the person whether or not a particular sandal is a flip flop or not.
Reply:I%26#039;m 36 years old, live and grew up a few blocks from the beach, and all my life flip-flops have always been considered very casual footwear in any setting. They%26#039;ve never really been acceptable in an office or professional setting of any type, this is nothing new. In fact, their popularity these last few years is what%26#039;s really new. Aside from the casual appearance though, most places of business I know of also don%26#039;t let their employees wear them for safety reasons. Even sneakers are going to provide some amount of protection when you drop that heavy box of paper on your foot.

Also, I have seen a ton of dressy sandals that don%26#039;t split the toe - in fact, I have a bunch myself. But it could be that they are just easier to find where I live because of the heat and humidity.

I personally don%26#039;t really care what other people%26#039;s choice of footwear is, to each his own, but this has been my experience in various businesses.
Reply:Flops just look more casual than other types of shoe. We are not allowed to wear sneakers or flops where I work.
Reply:I think most people associate flip flops with relaxing on the beach and casual summer foot wear. Honestly though.....there are some flip flops that look really dressy, and I do not see why people make a big deal out of wearing those sort of shoes with a pretty summery dress. Maybe the rule was made in your office because the distinction between %26quot;dressy/office%26quot; and %26quot;dressy/casual%26quot; was too much for some people to handle and the boss needed people to look more professional.

On the other hand......you never see a guy wearing sandals or flip flops to the office, so maybe it IS a conspiracy against women in the work place :-)
Reply:Sadly because they just can%26#039;t stand to see someone enjoying themselves. I mean really you%26#039;re an office employee not smelting pig iron so it ain%26#039;t like you%26#039;re going to drop something really heavy on your toes while wearing flip-flops and like you said sneakers look even tackier.
Reply:I associate flip flops with people that cannot afford real shoes.
Reply:Flip flops, open toed shoes, sneakers, and other non dress shoes are not considered office appropriate. Personally, I don%26#039;t like it b/c not everyone has nice looking clean feet or if they do look nice and are clean they now have a tattoo on them. No one wants to see that (except those with foot fetishes).
Reply:Flip flops rock and all the shoemakers are scared.....
Reply:Sneakers shouldn%26#039;t be worn at work either. And, flip flops did not %26quot;become the antichrist%26quot; they always were unacceptable and only recently has there been a movement for them to be acceptable.

They are cheap and unprofessional, that%26#039;s why. And, they are annoying as hell. I clicked on your question just as a woman was walking down the hallway past my office with that friggin%26#039; annoying slap-slap-slap, sweatyfoot slap-slap-slap..... aargh!

Just wear a gosh darn shoe why don%26#039;t you?
Reply:My place considers flipflops to be any kind of thong sandal that has the rubber dots on the bottom to keep the thong together. So you can wear whatever leather thong sandals or whatever you like.

Some places ban the thong sandals, but they allow ones with a toe ring instead.
Reply:Unless it%26#039;s casual Friday or you work at a Tiki Hut, flip flops just aren%26#039;t appropriate office wear. I know the big %26#039;in thing%26#039; right now are dressed up flip flops but there still flip flops.

If you want to be taken seriously at the job, wear appropriate business attire and stop complaining.
Reply:There is a conspiracy against us filp-flop wearers because the Minions of Evil know that we are superior beings.....
Reply:Oh no, flip flops belong in your front yard and on the beach and if you are neither place then they don%26#039;t need to be on your feet. I am so wishing my life away hoping the flip flop craze will end. Granted I don%26#039;t mind so much seeing the nice leather flip flops in the restaurants -- you know the kind no one wears, but those nasty worn down filthy $1 a pair rubber plastic things that look like they are growing fungus do not belong out in public. And what is up with dressing up in really nice dresses, high dollar dresses and putting flip flops on with them???? Who thinks that looks good? Since you brought up the white house thing. I am not one of these people who sits and thinks %26quot;wow, I%26#039;d like to go to the white house%26quot; matter of fact, I am just not politically motivated at all, but these girls seemed really thrilled to be there and they got all dolled up and then put on flip flops, what the? I just don%26#039;t understand. I don%26#039;t want you to get me wrong, I own flip flops and I wear them when I am at home weeding the flowers or mowing the yard or playing with the dog... But there is just places that they do not belong. And girls if you are going to wear them, for the love of God, take care of those feet. Get a pedicure apply some polish, at least do me that much.
Reply:I agree! There are very nice flipflops, with rhinestones and everything. They%26#039;re not tacky, but some people just hate them and if they happen to be the one in charge of setting the dress code, that%26#039;s unfortunate... but really people should be more relaxed about dress codes and especially about footwear. I%26#039;ve been barefoot for ten years, including in my job, the job before that, some temp jobs in winter (I work in tourism) and all the job interviews. I%26#039;m strongly opposed to dress codes unless there%26#039;s a real good reason (uniforms for police, protective clothing for firemen). People say %26#039;it doesn%26#039;t look professional%26#039; but I actually feel better doing business with someone who%26#039;s dressed casually. It makes me feel he was hired for what he knows and does rather than for his appearance, and he must be good in it, confident enough not to need the suit.
Reply:Don%26#039;t know where you live, but in the Detroit area any type of athletic shoes or flip-flops are considered unprofessional and are banned by most work dress codes. Whether you see it or not, how you dress really does affect your career. People who wear athletic shoes or flip-flops are labeled as people who don%26#039;t take their work or their professional appearance seriously. Personally, I agree with people who think that flip-flops are a sign that you%26#039;re on vacation, and I also agree that it%26#039;s inappropriate to meet with the President (READ: Go to the White House, not meet him in public) and wear flip-flops. The situation dictates the dress, and meeting the President would dictate business casual attire at the very least.
Reply:Flip flops should never be worn in the office. They are tacky. They are also bad for your feet.

But I agree, as they are not allowed in my workplace either. Wear shoes. Or wear sandals (yes, there are tons that do not split the toes.

Remember - just because you don%26#039;t think something looks bad - that does not mean you are the majority. You are in the minority on this one.
Reply:flip-flops can be bad from an occupational health and safety perspective eg: if someone accidentally stands on the back of the shoe or on your toes. They also provide minimal toe or foot protection (leading possibly to longer-term issues).

Injuries at work = corporations having to pay.

Dress sandals usually provide a certain level of protection, and aren%26#039;t open at the back (so less likely that injuries can occur).

Not sure about the distinction your corporation has made though.

Some links to news stories below.
Reply:It is quite easy to find sandals that do not split the toe.

Flip-flops are beach wear and not appropriate for a professional setting. They look like crap. I honestly can%26#039;t understand how some people think it%26#039;s okay to wear FLIP-FLOPS to a workplace that isn%26#039;t the beach or local pool.

They are unsophisticated and cheap. Do YOU want to look unsophisticated and cheap? That%26#039;s like saying shorts are okay for a business meeting. Sneakers are also not appropriate for a professional setting.
Reply:Flip flops are generally worn by low class people... like the fat, minority types at Wal-Mart... and the people in prisons and jails.

Why would you want to announce to the world you were a loser, just by your choice of foot wear.

Reply:What the heck are hills? Do you mean heals? Then, just use a pumice stone and foot lotion.

Does anyone else think flip flops are disgusting?

It seems everyone thinks flip flops look cool now days. I see everyone wearing them, which is really gross. I really hate that nasty sucking clap - clap noise flip flops make when people walk in them. When I see a beautiful hot looking woman in flip flops it makes me sick to my stomach. When I see flip flops I automatically think of dirty shower water, farts, and poop.

Does anyone else think flip flops are disgusting?
Well you must have a completely different association with flip-flops than I do! All I think about is beaches, sand, and sunshine.

But I do agree with you on one thing, the clapping nose flip-flops make when people walk with them on hard surfaces is very annoying. That%26#039;s why I reckon they ought only be worn at places like the beach.
Reply:only if theyre dirty and feet are dirty, yes the noise can be annoying, but I wouldnt go all the way to disgusting. And no flip flops in a professional setting.
Reply:Wow! Dirty shower water, farts and poop!! Intresting. I live on the beach so when I see someone wearing tennis shoes on the sand that is gross to me. Flip flops are only gross when someone has nasty feet.

What are Flip Flops...Electronic Flip Flops to be exact...?

A. Stupid sandle like shoes that hardly stay on your feet.

B. Somthin that a fish does when it comes onto land. lol

or

C. XOR, OR, AND, NOT.

Please tell me what you know about flip flops.

Is it true that there are two ______ per Flip Flop, or what.

I am very interested in Computers, and Technology in general.

Tell Me What You Know, Please.

Thank You.

What are Flip Flops...Electronic Flip Flops to be exact...?
flip flops (also known as latches) are basic building block of memory circuits. They are 2 nand gates (SR FF) that make a flip flop and the outputs of each nand gate are looped back onto the other%26#039;s input. (2 transistor answer is incorrect. NAND gates are made with transistors:micro electronics)

There are different types of flip flops and you can read about them. Memory today uses capacitors (which is why you see refreshrates for RAM modules today), however FFs were used in the beginning. In some circuits FFs are still used.

Internally, FFs have an inherent problem of a quasi stable state. If you analyze a FF under a logic analyzer, you can see that it takes some time for the output pins to settle to a binary 1 or 0. This quasi stable state introduces a performance (or timing) problems as well as some electrical problems when lots of them are used.

Performance wise, nand gates are faster than the others. It just happens to be that way because the underlying transistor network is simpler.

You can make any combination logic circuit with a an infinite amount of XOR gates. If you can prove this by yourself, you%26#039;ll be awesome at this.

If you want to learn more, you can read about it in wiki (history) or you can learn computer engineering etc at MITs opencouseware

I hope this helps

btw I love these questions.
Reply:A Flip flop is an electronic circuit which has two stable states - 1 and 0. It is made by having gates(not Bipolar Junction transistors) combined in a circuit. So, your output from the circuit will either be 1 or 0 . In most cases it will contain two outputs, Q , and its complement. So if one is 1, other will be 0.

Flip Flops at the Reception?

I%26#039;m thinking about getting my bridesmaids nice flip-flops to match their dresses. I would allow them to wear them at the reception after all the pictures have been taken, after the bridal party intro, toasts and special dances. So, basically, after the dinner is served and the rest of the reception is just dancing. I was also thinking about doing the same for my heels. I wanted to get cute white flip-flops.

What do people think??? I will not be wearing them in any of the formal pictures, that%26#039;s what the heels are for.

Do you think this is tacky?? I want honest opinions!!! I don%26#039;t care if you hurt my feelings......lol.

Please don%26#039;t tell me it%26#039;s my day. I know it is, but I still want honest opinions.

Flip Flops at the Reception?
i have seen it at lots of weddings. at the head table, they had them under their chairs so they could slip them on if they wanted to. i think as long as people have SOMETHING on their feet, it is okay. :) go for it.
Reply:No. I just go barefoot anyway. I don%26#039;t think it%26#039;s tacky at all.

Blisters are TACKY!!!!!!
Reply:I am getting married in 18 days and not only do I plan to wear flip flops under my dress, but my Bridesmaids are also. It%26#039;s an outdoor wedding and I want them to be comfortable as well as myself. I personally don%26#039;t think its tacky at all! Go for it!

Congrats!!
Reply:I think its a GREAT idea!!! I got married 2 months ago, and I told my bridesmaids that they could wear whatever shoes they wanted to, and that if they wanted to wear flip flops at the reception, that was fine!!! I bought myself a cute pair for me at target for $7, that had a cute rinestone cluster on them. I barely made it through the ceremony!!! As soon as we were leaving the church, I had my flip flops on. My girls all also had flip flops too, and my sister was wearing hers till we got to the church, put her heels on, then as we left, she put the flip flops back on........Its not tacky, besides, most dresses are floor length anyways, so you wouldn%26#039;t be able to tell.
Reply:I wore satin ballet-type slippers for my first two weddings (on my third) and no one even knew - unless i told them lol. I told my girls to wear whatever shoes they want just make sure they matched the dress. I didn%26#039;t care - they need to be comfortable too.
Reply:No matter how used to standing in heels you are, you are going to want to change into comfortable shoes after the formal pictures. Whether it is flip flops, flats, or some other type of shoe, you%26#039;re going to want to change into something you can dance and stand in all night, so you don%26#039;t have blistered feel for your honeymoon! Flip flops are fine, they make cute pictures, and your bridesmaids are going to need something comfortable too, or everyone will end up barefoot with sticky feet! Don%26#039;t forget the flowergirl!
Reply:i think that%26#039;s a great idea, i%26#039;m sure your girls will appreciate it.
Reply:I think you should give them flip-flops and get some for yourself. The last thing you want at your reception is to be uncomfortable and most girls like flip-flops. I%26#039;d be excited to get to wear them. If they don%26#039;t want to wear them, they can pick.
Reply:I think it is fine and there are several web sites that sell them for weddings. I have listed one of them. Google it and tons of sites come up. Good luck and God Bless.
Reply:No, it%26#039;s not that it%26#039;s tacky, but odd. Dancing is best in nice comfy dressy sandals or shoes - or no shoes at all.
Reply:that sounds like a good idea... i love flip flops, i would wear them the whole time but that is tacky lol... i think after the pictures and is a good time... i sure wouldn%26#039;t want my feet to hurt from all the dancing in heels
Reply:To tell you the truth, I was planning on doing the same thing. At least I plan on wearing flip flops at the reception. No one will see my feet at all! It%26#039;s up to your bridesmaids if they would want to or not. Some girls won%26#039;t care at all, but then others might not like the idea at all. I say be comfortable, it%26#039;s a long day and you want to enjoy all of it!
Reply:DO IT! You will love yourself and your maids will love you too! We all changed into our own flip flops after my BF%26#039;s wedding our feet were so sore, we would have loved it if we had been given cute matching flips to party in, on girl was in sport flips, I was in black flips another girl had keds flips, our feet loved the comfort, but we all felt bad that we werent in pretty shoes any longer.

This is not by any means tacky.
Reply:I dont think its tacky at all (and i think alot of stuff is tacky haha)

It will be nice after the formal ceremony and pictures for everyone just to be able to let loose and have a good time.

Especially if you can find some cute ones with diamonds on them or something!
Reply:I think it%26#039;s okay after the wedding, if it%26#039;s a more casual reception - maybe not for a real formal evening reception. Comfort is always a nice thing - and after the cake is cut and all - why not!
Reply:Flip flops are the tackiest shoes on earth. I wouldn%26#039;t be caught dead on the beach in them. They are so low class that it%26#039;s just ridiculous. There is nothing worse than a beautiful dress with cheap nasty shoes.
Reply:i%26#039;m not wearing shoes to my wedding... i hate them... they%26#039;ll be lucky to get me into flip flops at any point during my day... It%26#039;s all about comfort. Half the bridesmaid%26#039;s at my future sister-in-law%26#039;s wedding ended up barefoot by the end of the night, so your bridesmaids may thank you for being so thoughtful.
Reply:No, I don%26#039;t think it%26#039;s tacky, far better to have comfy feet than to have your heels ripped to shreds in your posh shoes.
Reply:I would choose a dressy sandal for all. They can have a small heel or flat. But, they would look good for the ceremony and for the pictures.
Reply:I think it is an absolutely fun idea! Ck out the bridal flip flops below.......

http://www.collectionsetc.com/GroupP7819...
Reply:I think it%26#039;s a great idea. I%26#039;ve been in quite a few weddings the past 2 years and all of the bridesmaids changed into them everytime. It%26#039;s a great way to prevent your feet from hurting :)
Reply:I intend to do the same thing.

Go for it and have a great wedding.

Congrats.
Reply:i had white ballet slippers on after my dinner! but if you have time to order check out rhinestoneroxy.com... add a little sparkle to the flip flops to make them a bit more fancy if you desire!
Reply:It depends on the tone of your wedding. And also consider if your bridesmaids find wearing them to be comfortable. Unfortunately for me, I can%26#039;t wear them. They are too uncomfortable between my toes. But I%26#039;m weird like that. I%26#039;d wear them if you wanted me to and I was a bridesmaid at your wedding.
Reply:I think it is a great idea. I let my girls pick their own shoes for the wedding, as long as they were white. I told my girls that I was not going to make them dye shoes that they could only wear with that dress, so with them getting to pick their own shoes, most of them picked ones that were already comfortable. However, they knew that I was changing into white slippers at the reception since my aunt makes them and she made me a special pair for the wedding, so a couple of my girls asked if they could wear slippers or flip flops at the reception and I told them sure! If was going to wear them, they could too. My thought is you want them to be comfortable and happy too after all the help they are for you and your special day. Hope your wedding day is beyond wonderful and everything you could dream of.
Reply:Shoot... I had my bridesmaids wear cute black flip flops the whole day! haha
Reply:I am wearing flip flops as soon as all the formal things are taken care of, I refuse to walk in heels all night with my feet hurting. I also allowed my bridesmaids to change into flip flops at the reception as long as they were white, so they match the dresses still.

I see nothing wrong with it, unless you are used to wearing heels all the time why be uncomfortable on the day you are supposed to having the most fun
Reply:I think flip flops are tacky with formalwear, nearly impossible to dance in, and a needless expense. Also, if your dresses weren%26#039;t hemmed with them in mind, you%26#039;re going to wind up with skirts dragging on the floor in a big way.

It really is better and more practical to simply wear shoes your feet will be comfortable in all day long.
Reply:I gave all my girls flip flops to wear around in the Bridal Suite and during the reception of my wedding. I bought them hot pink ones from Old Navy and I wore a pair of light pink ones. On each flip flop I wrote things like bridesmaid, the wedding date, cute nicknames and other fun things. They loved the flip flops and I still see them wearing them months after the wedding.
Reply:I think its a good idea and i might just have to steal that idea for my wedding.lol you should definetly do it.
Reply:Tacky. Silk ballet type shoes is one thing but flip flops at a wedding are just tacky. Why have a formal wedding service and reception if you are going to trash it up with shoes that belong on the beach.

Flip-Flops in Public Bathrooms?

Does a person have to wear flip-flops in a public bathroom? And if so, why? And do you wear flip-flops in a public bathroom?

(bathroom as in shower)

Flip-Flops in Public Bathrooms?
Of course you don%26#039;t have to wear flip-flops, but depending on the state of the public bathroom it%26#039;s advisable.

People usually wear them in public showers at backpacker%26#039;s hostels/camping grounds because of all the other people and the grime they can bring into the toilet - there%26#039;s a lot of little nasties (bacteria, fungi etc.) which can lead lead to foot conditions/disease like tinea. If the bathroom is in a less %26quot;desirable%26quot; area then the bathroom can also have sharp objects (e.g. glass, needles) on the floor which are obviously more dangerous to bare feet than the soles of flip-flops.

I%26#039;ve worn flip-flops in the bathroom/shower when I%26#039;ve been on school camps just in case - it%26#039;s better to be safe than sorry. I%26#039;d rather come back from a camp/holiday with good memories; not a foot infection.
Reply:I always wear flip flops or like plastic and or rubber sandals. No there is no law or health code I know of but I just find it a little cleaner. One should always use an anti-fungal cream after using a public shower. The fungus that causes athletes foot and jock itch are found all over public shower areas. So I usually wear flip flops and then after I dry off I will put on some anti-fungal cream and maybe some powder like Gold Bond to help. I mean public showers are kinda nasty. =)
Reply:uhm, in a public shower? i do. you never know whats on the floor/been on the floor...

i don%26#039;t want warts developing on my feet...
Reply:1. Do you have to? No. Should you? YES!

2. Bare feet in a public %26quot;Wet%26quot; area, promotes foot fungi and other bacterial infections.

3. YES! All the Time.

Flip flops or thongs? have your pick?

which do you use or prefere. i think flip-flops is slight lame. but then dont say thong to someone who usually does say flip-flops, it can be confusing. what do you call them?

Flip flops or thongs? have your pick?
Depends where you%26#039;re from and what they were called as you were growing up... I%26#039;m in Sydney, and no-one i know calls them %26#039;flipflops%26#039;, we call them thongs. And for one reason or another, the underwear thong is typically referred to/ marketed as a %26#039;g-string%26#039; here
Reply:Flip flops are the rubbery sandals you wear on your feet; thongs are underwear that wedge between your butt cheeks!

Reply:flip-flops. I see %26quot;thongs%26quot; as a type of panty..

Flip Flops or Crocs for the summer?

I%26#039;m living in Flip Flops when it%26#039;s nice or hot outside. Except for at work of course. There casual and a laid back style. However I would NEVER wear Crocs ever! If you like them that%26#039;s fine. I respect other people%26#039;s buissness and I%26#039;m not so naive of what people wear because I was brought up right. Plus I don%26#039;t see a lot of guys in crocs. Most of them are either in flip flops or tennis shoes. Same with girls. But honestly no one really stares down at your feet that much, and if someone does then that%26#039;s damn creepy LOL.

Flip Flops or Crocs for the summer?
Flip Flops, totally! Crocs are so... last year. Flip flops are classic and timeless! They%26#039;ll always be %26quot;in%26quot;.
Reply:I am pregnant and I am still deciding... but I think I will go with Crocs. I usually go to Old Navy and get different colored

Reply:flip flops!!! the crocs with the fuzzy stuff inside are great for the winter...keep your feet nice and toasty, but even the regular ones are too hot in the summer!

The %26quot;fake %26quot; crocs, are horrible. They%26#039;ve very recently come out with another croc though, the brand is called %26quot;doggies%26quot; and its the exact same thing as a croc, same material, same comfort, everything, not like all the other imitations, and only 1/4 of the price.

as far as guys?? lol, i dont like men in crocs , flip flops or even sandals, i%26#039;ve always thought it was ....kind of %26quot;fairy%26quot; looking, lol, but its just a hang up i have about men. I like my guy in sneakers!

Flip Flops - what happened to the old style flip flop???

Ghost wearing flip flops in my bedroom?

In my old apartment, I awoke to the sound of someone walking in flip flops in my room. I just thought it was someone living in a nearby apartment. However, last night at the hotel I was staying at, I woke up and thought my boyfriend was wearing flip flops and walking out the door, but when I rolled over he was right next to me. Is it possible that I have a flip flop wearing ghost following me? I felt a presence. I%26#039;ve also had an encounter where I woke up and a man was staring at me. I crawled to my hallway screaming and woke my mom up. I was 19 and actually made my mommy check my room. Anyone have similar ghost stories, experiences, thoughts.

Ghost wearing flip flops in my bedroom?
Reads like you need to take some spiritual authority over a bad ghost. Can%26#039;t do it unless you have the Holy Ghost. Can%26#039;t get the Holy Ghost unless God gives it to you. God won%26#039;t give it to you unless you ask for it. Of course it has to be given from the Bible God that sent His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but will have ever lasting life.
Reply:u have an imagination
Reply:Several years ago I had an unusual experience concerning an uncle, a distant relative who lived over a thousand miles away.

While driving my car I suddenly felt the unmistakable presence of this relative that I hardly even knew. He was more like someone I had heard about than someone I knew. It was very strange; it felt as though I was momentarily lifted right out of my physical body. I seemed to be suspended somehow beyond space and time, bathed in a love so intense It felt like I could have just disappear into it at any moment if It would have let me. It only lasted for a few seconds, but it seemed to last forever at the same time. I realize how crazy this must sound. The experience was so strong that at first I was afraid I was loosing my grip on reality. I finally managed to chalk it up to an over active imagination.

Three days later I got a call from my aunt telling me that this uncle we are talking about had gone into a coma and died the day I had the experience. It felt like ice water had been poured down my back when she told me this. I had lost any real ideas of God or faith and had become somewhat of an atheist. Needless to say this experience caused me to rethink some of the conclusions I had come to.

I feel blessed to now understand that even in our darkest confusion something loves us so much that it went out of its way to assist me and bring me back to a state of absolute certainty about Gods love for us.

During the experience it seemed like there was a vast amount of information that I was somehow allowed access to. One thing that I came away from this experience understanding beyond any shadow of a doubt was that any Idea that God is unhappy with us or would judge or allow us to be punished for any reason is simply impossible.

I can’t explain the love I felt with words. They simply don’t make words big enough or complete enough to do this. The only way I can begin to convey this love to you is to say that there was simply nothing else there. Nothing but love. No hint of judgment, no displeasure of any sort. It is as though God sees us as being as perfect as we were the day we were created. It is only in our confused idea of ourselves that we seem to have changed.

I hope this is of some help to you. Good luck. Love and blessings.

Reply:Ghosts and spirits can be found everywhere. Your sensitivity towards them seems to be strong but you don%26#039;t have to be afraid or scares of them. We live in a different %26#039;world%26#039; and they mean no harm. Likewise we mean no harm to them. Well, I guess you have to %26#039;talk%26#039; peace to them and hope they don%26#039;t scares you too much. More importantly, have a peace of mind and be righteous towards them. You got to learn to %26#039;ignore%26#039; them and they will go away. If you can%26#039;t then you have to think of moving out. I don%26#039;t suggest you to exocise them at all. To live in an old apartment... who do you think is the %26#039;intruder%26#039;... you and they!
Reply:Pray, pray pray. Invite a pastor over to pray with you. I have experienced something similar and have heard others complained about the same problem. I even heard about ghost washing dishes, flushing toilets, etc. Just pray, the devil just want you to be scared. Read the following Psalms and you%26#039;ll find some comfort.

Reply:Hey,

That sounds familiar. I had a similar experience after a family member passed away. Very spooky and cool.
Reply:dude your question makes me scared......i was going to say maybe it was the ghost of george bush since he is in love with flip flops, but no, i have never experienced this.....
Reply:Normally a ghost will not follow a person from place to place but on occasion it does happen. At lest it did to me. A ghost will appear to people with an open mind and will be wearing whatever they died in. Either this person died before his time or he still has unfinished business in this life. I%26#039;ve heard that if you tell a ghost to go to the light they will usually leave but having one around can be fun as well. Good luck!

PS remember a ghost can never hurt you. They don%26#039;t have the power. Try talking to your ghosts. They may tell you what they need or who they are!

Reply:Well I have things move from where I left them. I always leave my keys, perfume, deodorant and things I use regularly in the same place, and some times when I go get them they are not there, one day I was late for work and I was trying to find my deodorant so I reach to get it where I always leave it and it was not there so I started looking every where and nothing, so I got really mad and started yelling, ok who ever got my deodorant I want it here now in this moment or I will be late to work this is no time to play, so after I finish this I turn again and there it was the same place I always leave it.....believe it or not...it happened....

Another time my husband and I where talking in the kitchen and all of the sudden the light in the living room goes off him and me did the same thing we turn and look in to the living room to look we though it was our son playing hide and seek but when we call him he was in his room......

One time I was watching TV and you know when you can see with the side of your eyes, well I saw a tall image with a red shirt, i thought it was my husband walking to the kitchen so I did not pay any attention to it, and a minute after here comes my husband from the same place that image came from, so I ask him where you here a minute ago and he say no I was taking a bath....

We have a friendly ghost in the house, some times I think is a man but some times I see small shadows around the house, some times I have the feeling some one is following me around the house and well I thing we just got used to it......
Reply:Its possible that you could have had a ghost at your apt. but one that would follow you seems less likely. I have woke up to the sound of someone saying my name, and no one was there. on more than one occassion. weird things happen I tell you!

so who knows.

Flip flops and driving what do you think?

My daughter just started driving and I told her she can%26#039;t drive wearing flip flops. Now she is mad at me because all of her friends parents let their kids drive wearing flip flops. Am I being too hard on her?

Flip flops and driving what do you think?
tell her to take them off when driving and put them back on when she gets where she is going...i do it and im 25
Reply:No, dear, you are not %26quot;being too hard on her%26quot; and flip flops are an absolute NO when driving. Ask any highway patrolman!

So she%26#039;s mad at you? Big deal. Like my parents always told me, %26quot;If your friends jump off a cliff.......%26quot;

It is YOUR job to make the decisions which will keep your child safe.
Reply:Well, I see your point, because sometimes the pedal gets stuck between my foot and the flip flop, but COME ON, Mom!! This is not dangerous, its just a bit uncomfortable. Have you heard of this ever causing an accident? I doint think its possible. With me, I just pull my poot out a bit and the pedal is free...it has never been a big deal. I bet its a bit embarassing for her too. Litghten up and just make sure she knows its not as comfortable as driving with close toed shoes on.
Reply:I drive with flip flops in Hawaii all the time. Let her use them. You are being o.c.d. (Obsessive compulsive disorder) but don%26#039;t take it too harshly. But you love her and don%26#039;t want her to get into an accident.

Don%26#039;t worry. She will not get into an accident with her flip flops. If the gas pedal and the accelerator does not mesh with her shoes, she can always take them off and drive barefoot. Tell her that, she won%26#039;t get upset with you. If she does, then she is just a kid.
Reply:she is your child, I really dont think your being to hard on her...plus is not wearing flip flops while driving really that big of a deal. I will say that I always wear flip flops...even when i drive, i personally fell like i can feel my foot btter on the peddle.....but to be safe, try driving in your flip flops and see how it feels, then decide if it%26#039;d unsafe
Reply:have her keep a pair of ballet flats in the car, she can slip them on to drive. [wait, someone else already said that. grr.] i think my aunt told my cousin she%26#039;s not allowed to drive in sandals and she threw a fit so now she%26#039;s allowed to, but it%26#039;s incredibly dangerous.
Reply:i don%26#039;t drive yet but i dont think theirs anything wrong with wearing flip flops unless they have a heel it might be harder to drive.
Reply:nahhh.....you got it right. Maybe you should sign her up for one of those racing schools, she would learn a lot about good driving there and maybe enjoy it too.
Reply:Yes. You can drive in pretty much anything if you get used to it. If anything, it%26#039;ll be useful to be able to drive with flip flops.
Reply:Interesting question...but, i have to be honest, i drive with my flip flops on all of the time and i have never had a problem. I think i actually get into more trouble Walking with them on, then i do when i am driving. I trip, people step on them when they are walking behind me, and i slip when i walk on a wet surface...so, i think as long as they are the correct size and not too big, then why can%26#039;t she drive with flip flops?
Reply:No, you are being a good parent. Flip flops can get hooked on the pedal or fall off and get stuck under them. I very clearly remember my driver%26#039;s ed teacher warning me against it and me thinking I knew better. Took only one bad flip flop getting hooked on the accelerator incident for me to learn otherwise. If I am wearing flip flops, I take them off and put them in the passenger seat area.
Reply:I don%26#039;t think you%26#039;re being too hard on her. It sounds like you%26#039;re looking out for her safety. Have her keep a pair of ballet flats in the glove box maybe?
Reply:Safety is not one big thing, it is a lot of little things.

Please hold your position.

You are responsible for her safety, not everyody else%26#039;s parents. I commend you for realizing it, and, yes, I believe there%26#039;s a special place in heaven for those of us who raised teenage daughters.
Reply:I drive with flip-flops on all the time. I lvoe flip-flops i wear them almost year round and i live in michigan. Theres nothing wrong with it. As long as her foot is high enough up on the pedal and shes not driving with her toe...
Reply:No, I think you%26#039;re being cautious, and that%26#039;s a good thing...lots of people drive wearing flip-flops, but there is definitely a risk of the sandal coming off while you are driving, getting caught under a pedal, and causing an accident. When she%26#039;s a more experienced driver, she might be comfortable wearing flip-flops and driving, but for now, it makes sense that she wear shoes that are firmly attached to her feet :)
Reply:Why would it matter? If you can drive in flip flops, I%26#039;m sure she can.
Reply:I find that it%26#039;s hard to drive with shoes that come off easily(like flip flops or slides) and heels. It%26#039;s much easier to just take them off.
Reply:Personally, it scares me when the person that is driving the car wears flip flops. I tell my wife I will drive because she wears them when driving.

On the other side, I drive barefoot 100% of the time. It does not affect/disaffect my driving. I am not a fan of shoes, and choose to not keep anythign around my feet.

Barefoot driving is legal in all 50 states (verified on a number of websites as well as AAA). It is safer and more recommended than wearing heels, flip flops, clogs, or backless shoes.

As a parent myself, here%26#039;s what I would do:

* Advise your daughter she can wear whatever shoes she wants into the car. HOWEVER, if there is anything that has a heel or can slip off when driving, the shoes MUST be removed. As long as you can explain the reason behind this, I don%26#039;t think your daughter will have a problem putting her flip flops in the seat next to her.
Reply:no idea what%26#039;s wrong with driving with flip flops, but i think you are being a little to hard on her.
Reply:i personally don%26#039;t see anything wrong with it..but i can%26#039;t really judge your parenting because u r her mother
Reply:i dont see anything wrong with that. i do that all the time!
Reply:YES! I just started driving three weeks ago. Whats wrong with wearing flip flops, they dont do anything to affect ones driving...now heels thats a whole other story lol. But I know you are just watching out for you daughter because you love her but you are being a bit hard.
Reply:no flip flops and foot pedals dont mix . its a recipe for disaster. your foot slips off the pedals tell her to keep some shoes in the car for driving %26amp; change into flip flops when reaching her destination
Reply:No I don%26#039;t think that you were to hard on her because when I first started driving I failed my drivers test due to a cute pair of flip flops...My foot slipped off of the break and onto the gas. She will get use to it and maybe when she becomes more experienced driver then she can do it.
Reply:You%26#039;re being a great parent. You%26#039;ll have to realize that there are a lot of %26quot;Ifs%26quot; when it comes to your children driving. I personally think that flip flops are dangerous when driving, but I am the most clumsy person you%26#039;ll ever meet. I always get my shoes stuck under the pedals and it causes a distraction. Just use your best judgment! If you don%26#039;t want her wearing them, then don%26#039;t let her.
Reply:my girl got in an axident while driving with flip flops on

so no

ice block
Reply:that%26#039;s an interesting question- I wear flip flops all the time. They ARE dangerous to drive w/ because the bottom of the flip flop sticks between the floorboard and the pedal- so when you lift your foot to slow down the pedal stays stuck where it is- VERY dangerous. What I do, is slip %26#039;em off and push them close to/almost under my seat and drive bare foot, then just slip %26#039;em back on when I%26#039;ve reached my destination and the car is parked. Plus, you get a really good feel for the pedals driving barefoot- that%26#039;s really good if your driving stick.
Reply:No, you are being responsible.

Flip-Flops are dangerous to drive in. Keep up the good work. Some parents don%26#039;t take the time to even think of something like this Much less go to the trouble to enforce the rule.
Reply:maybe have her wear the platform kind and not the flimsy kind..
Reply:I live in Miami and wear flip flops every day and I drive in them as well. I dont see what the hazzard is unless your daughter is like flipping it on and off while driving, but that would be pretty rediculous. Pumps, I could understand the worry, flip flops I do not.
Reply:i%26#039;ve been driving with flip flops since i was 16. no problems. i%26#039;m almost 20 now.

Help me find flip-flops that fit?

I am from NYC moving to go to grad school at Alliant International University in San Diego, where everyone wheres flip-flops all the time. I have heard Rainbow sandals are the best, but my real challenge has been finding flip-flops that fit me well. Whenever I try on nicer leather sandals I find that the front of the flip flop is too long. Is this acceptable ? Am I missing something when it comes to buying a flip flop that actually fits right? I have had maybe two pairs that fit well, but wore them to death.

Help me find flip-flops that fit?
I think that you were right in wanting to buy a leather pair. They will last longer and will go with almost anything. The reason that the front is longer is that over time, leather stretches, remember, leather is hide, which is basically an animal%26#039;s skin. Anyway, the more you walk in them, the more they conform to the shape of your foot and walking style. So, it is very likely that the thing (the part that holds the slipper on your foot, will stretch... so, you will need that extra space on top... anyway, you might want to get a leather pair for the long campus walks and another pair or two of fancier ones for parties and what not... and don%26#039;t forget a pedicure or some sort of regular foot care... added exposure to the feet wears them out faster....
